HOW IT WORKS

Install PowerGuard™ where its solar panel can receive direct sunlight. During the day, the panel converts sunlight into energy and charges the internal battery. After dark, the selected lighting mode controls whether the light remains illuminated, operates at a lower level or activates when movement is detected.

Charging time and nighttime performance will vary with sunlight exposure, weather, installation position, selected mode and frequency of activation.

INSTALLATION TIPS

• Choose a location that receives several hours of direct sunlight.
• Install the light approximately 2–3 metres above the ground, where suitable.
• Avoid positioning the solar panel beneath roofs, trees or heavy shade.
• Make sure the light is securely attached before use.
• Charge it in direct sunlight for two to three sunny days before first use.
• Test each lighting mode after the initial charge.

CARE INFORMATION

Keep the solar panel clean and free from dust, leaves and debris. Wipe the light periodically with a soft, damp cloth. Although the unit is IP65-rated, do not immerse it in water or install it where flooding or standing water occurs.
